The expert-teachers from high-secondary schools of Denmark - Mirela Redzic and Jon Rasmussen carried out the 4-days trainings in Georgia.

The solidarity project – “Partnership on promoting education policy capacity, advocacy and school development in Georgia” – is implemented by the Danish National Trade Union of the High Secondary teachers (GL) in partnership with the Educations and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia (ESFTUG). The 18-month project is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the Foundation of the Civil Society in Development (CISU).

The great desire of the Dutch teachers was to get familiar with the Georgian education system and to see the working environment and teaching process at the place, before the seminars.

The guests were interested in the conditions and rights of the national minorities in Georgian schools, which is why ESFTUG has selected the public school №103 in Tbilisi.

On October 25, 2017, the Dutch colleagues visited Tbilisi public school №103.

The school has a new building with modern standards. The building is fully adapted for the students with disabilities. There is the Georgian sector as well as the Armenian sector at school, where the teaching process is conducted in Armenian.

The guests observed the school building, the sport hall, the library. They met the teachers, talked with the students, observed the teaching process in the primary, secondary and high classes. They also observed the inclusive teaching process and were very delight. They mentioned that you rarely can find such kind of programs, conditions, attitudes of the inclusive teaching, as they found out in this school.

For the Dutch teachers the exhibition of the diplomas and certificates, obtained by the students on the international and national Olympiads and competitions, on the school walls, was foreign and very interesting. They decided the arrangement of the similar exhibition in their own schools.

The guests also liked the respectful, friendly and democratic attitude between the director and the school employers.

The school director Archil Chkhaidze talked with the guests about the school history, teaching process, about the success of the teachers and students, about the implemented, current and planned projects.

The visit in the school was organized by the heads of the ESFTUG Isani and Samgori regional organizations – Ketevan Kheteshvili and Guliko Amilidze.

ESFTUG thanks the director of the public school №103, Archil Chkhaidze, the school pedagogical collective, the heads of the Samgori and Isani regional organizations for their hospitality and the interesting meeting.
