The Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia is affiliated with:
Education International (EI): The global union federation representing organizations of teachers and other education employees worldwide. EI unites 375 member organizations, representing more than 33 million teachers and education support personnel in 180 countries and territories.
European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE): A federation of 123 education trade unions in 51 countries, representing a total of 11 million members across Europe. ETUCE acts as the social partner for teachers and other education personnel at the European level and defends their interests before the European Commission and other European institutions.
Georgian Trade Union Confederation (GTUC): An organization uniting branch trade unions across Georgia.

The ESFTUG carries out its mission in two primary directions:
1. Protecting Rights: Safeguarding the labor, socio-economic, and legal rights of teachers and support personnel employed in educational and training institutions.

Independence and Governance
The ESFTUG is an independent, voluntary public trade union movement that defends the labor and socio-economic rights of employees in various educational, training, and scientific institutions in Georgia. It promotes the democratization of education and operates independently of state authorities, local self-government bodies, employers, political parties, public associations, or religious movements, except in cases provided by law.
The Union:
-Conducts relations based on equality, social partnership, cooperation, and reciprocal rights and obligations.
-Independently determines its organizational and legal structure.
-Elects its governing bodies.
-Develops its action program to protect the socio-economic, labor, and legal interests of its members in compliance with the Constitution of Georgia and relevant legislation.
