Thanks to legal help of ESFTUG, Ketevan Purtseladze, an unlawfully dismissed teacher who had worked at public school #23, was reinstated.
According to ESFTUG, school is legally obliged to pay compensation of about 6 000 GEL for the period of forced absence of the teacher. On 18 October, 2011 Ketevan Purtseladze was dismissed by bailiff’s legal act that claimed that she had not recorded “absences” for two students. She was also blamed to have insulted a bailiff, which, according to her, is not true.
Director of school #23 – Nestan Sikharulidze, ignored school internal labor regulations and based on bailiff’s false verbal allegation, unlawfully dismissed Ketevan Purtseladze. On 19 and 26 December, court sessions took place in Kutaisi Appellate Court.
Teacher’s interests were represented by ESFTUG lawyer – Tamar Avaliani. By the decision of Kutaisi Appellate Court on 26 December, 2012, Ketevan Purtseladze’s lawsuit was approved, she was reinstated and school was charged by financial compensation.
