Regarding World Teachers' Day, ESFTUG released a letter wherethe union wished teachers a happy Professional Day and emphasized that Georgian educatorsundergo profound difficulties.
“Georgian educators are in tough conditions. Difficult social situation is now followed by unsuccessfull education reform. We think that it is another test for teachers' perseverance and we believe that all of you can eventually accomplish a great success in it. Our teachers will overcome all the difficulties and continue to bring up educated and honorable generations”.
The letter stressed the importance of teachers' participation in decision making process and pointed out that it is the essential duty of the trade union to support teachers in reaching collective aims and interests.
"ESFTUG continues to protect your rights and to take care of your professional advancement” – is stated in a letter.
