mari1On December 5, the ETUCE-member Central and Eastern European countries (CEENET) held a special meeting where delegates listened to the presentations of the successful member organizations, "Achievements and Challenges - Future Vision" selected by ETUCE.

ESFTUG’s Executive Vice President Mari Aluqishvili presented the activities of the last two years of the ESFTUG to the audience. The successful activities and achievements of ESFTUG have caused special interest in European colleagues. Martin Tomar, the European Director of ETUCE, focused on the processes taking place in Central and Eastern countries, activities and results of member organizations, including the activities, achievements and outcomes of the last years of the Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgian.

The CEENET meeting was headed by ETUCE President Christina Bloever. The Central and Eastern European Countries (CEENET) was created in 2014 by ETUCE's European Director, Martin Romer, which aims to draw closer to Central and Eastern European Countries and promote integration with EU member states.

ETUCE President Christin Blauer thanked Martin Romer and praised the CEENET's 2-year working period positively. He noted that more support is needed for the promotion of organizational development of CEENET countries' trade unions.

The ETUCE Regional Conference delegates took an active part in early and higher education, teachers' professional development, social dialogue and collective negotiations.
