Within the framework of "the Advocacy Opportunities for School and Education Policy in Georgia in Collaboration with ESFTUG" the help and support project between the ESFTUG and the Danish National Union of Upper Secondary School Teachers (GL), the second training was held on “Formative Assessment and Feedback Culture” during November 14-17, 2019.

The four-day seminar was led by Catherine Lønholdt and Lis Rydahl Eilertzen, expert teachers of Denmark's upper secondary level gymnasium of Roskilde.

The seminar was opened by Maia Kobakhidze, President of ESFTUG. She talked about the importance of the project and the role of the teachers in it and wished them successful and meaningful days.

Murad Eminov, a teacher participating in the Danish-Georgian exchange program, will coordinate with the participants of the second seminar. Under the guidance of education expert Giorgi Nozadze and based on Danish experience, he will develop educational policy recommendations for formative assessments.

The second four-day seminar was attended by 38 teachers and four principals of 23 public schools from the capital, Adjara and 20 counties of Georgia.

In order to help the development of the educational policy of Georgian schools, Danish colleagues shared with Georgian teachers their practices and experiences of school education policy. The four-day program was loaded with various activities.

Within 2 months after the seminar, teachers will apply the knowledge and practice they have received in their schools. Afterwards, with the support of the ESFTUG and with the consultation of the education expert Giorgi Nozadze, they will share with other peer-educators the proven practices that will support educational quality and teaching-learning processes in schools.

The teachers participating in the seminar learned many modern methods from the Danish colleagues on the subject of formative assessment and developed action plans in teams.

The ESFTUG thanks the public school principals for supporting this project.

To support the implementation of practices and experiences of the Danish education system, within the framework of the project, the ESFTUG will organize one-day regional meetings where public school administrations and educational resource centers will also be present.
