On October 5 World Teachers’ Day is celebrated. ESFTUG president, Maia Kobakhidze congratulates teachers and wishes them a successful personal and professional life.
“Recent events showed us that in spite of psychological oppression of teachers, we brought up splendid generation. Patriotism, respect for human rights and strength to fight for equity is characterized for Georgian young people. It is a result of teachers’ hard work that is proven by students’ demonstrations against torture in Georgian prisons” – says Maia Kobakhidze.
Ms Kobakhidze hopes that government’s attitude towards teachers will change towards good and it will help educators to stay dedicated to their job and further serve their country.
