  Another four-day training was held at the ESFTUG’s Tskneti training base, by the members of the Danish National Union of Upper Secondary School Teachers (GL), experts of Copenhagen's "Open Gymnasium", Birthe Henriksen and Mogens Skot-Hansen. The topic of the training was "Students-oriented teaching-learning environment with modern pedagogical methods".

The purpose of the 18-month solidarity project – “Partnership on promoting education policy capacity, advocacy and school development in Georgia” implemented in partnership with Danish National Union of Upper Secondary School Teachers (GL) is sharing practical experience of Danish school teachers and promote professional growth of Georgian teachers.

On the 4th training, Danish guests presented the student-oriented and tested teaching-learning modern methods. When familiar with the techniques introduced in Danish schools, Danish trainers discussed with the training participants the necessary ties between theoretical knowledge and practice, including the characteristics of current method of Danish schools - "moving and studying". Based on the theory of Education Experts in Denmark, the work was carried out on a variety of teaching methods: teacher-sculptor, teacher-coach, teacher-consultant, teacher-participant.

The training program consisted the student-oriented teacher attitudes, brainstorming, forms of student workshops in couples and groups, mechanisms of assessing students' knowledge and skills development (including IT technologies), main aspects of working on individual and joint projects. In the course of the training, teachers of public schools of Georgia were presented the presentations about the Danish educational system, environmental conditions for teaching and learning in schools, teachers' autonomous and free work conditions and teachers' results oriented activities.

On September 6-9, a total of 45 teachers from 10 regions of Georgia, Autonomous Republic of Adjara and 12 public schools of Tbilisi took part in the training held by Danish colleagues. Heads of educational resource centers of Sighnaghi and Akhmeta municipalities were involved in the training.

On the last day of the training, the training participants evaluated the training program, they have developed a future cooperation plan and plan of development and spread of the acquired knowledge in the public schools of Georgia.

ESFTUG’s president Maia Kobakhidze addressed the participants of the training. She thanked project participants for their activeness and willingness. Maia Kobakhidze spoke about the importance of sharing and introduction the Danish experiences in the teaching process, which will facilitate the academic freedom of teachers. She introduced to the audience the topics of the trainings which were implemented in the framework of cooperation between ESFTUG and GL and planned measures for strengthening further partnership. Maia Kobakhidze made accents on the changes made by the initiatives of ESFTUG in the last four years, which helped to improve the labor, social and economic conditions of teachers.

At the end of the busy and fruitful four-day work, the ESFTUG’s President handed over to the training participants the certificates certifying participation in the project, developed by GL and ESFTUG. (6-9 September, 2018).
