On July 27, 2018, Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia and the Association of Private Universities.

The aim of the memorandum is to protect the university professors and students' labor, social-economic, legal rights and to care for their professional development. Development of labor culture among students, cultivation of volunteerism and solidarity values, engagement of pragmatic and creative initiatives in union life, development of professional skills, improvement of qualification and providing students with curriculum.

The Parties agreed to cooperate with each other in such important issues as: Reflection of labor safety, improvement of labor conditions, effective guarantees of social security in the universities’ strategic development priorities; Trainings in the field of labor law, organizational culture, human resources management and personnel development; Introduction of international standards of quality education measurement and monitoring; Protection of students’ and professors’ legal rights; Promotion of international partners’ network’s expansion.

Memorandum was signed by President of Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia Maia Kobakhidze and Executive Director of Association of Private Universities Zaza Maruashvili.
