The main thing is to see a responsible and attentive leader in me, trust me and believe in me”- Lela Kuridze addressed participants of ESFTUG’s Lanchkhuti branch organization’s N8 reporting-election conference while submitting a four-year report. ESFTUG’s Lanchkhuti branch organization’s conference was held on June 7 of the current year. The conference was chaired by a teacher of Lanchkhuti public school #3, representative of ESFTUG’s gender equality committee Lela Gobronidze. Lanchkhuti branch organization unites 783 members, including 215 kindergartens’ employees, primary trade unions functioning in 24 public schools and 21 kindergartens. The conference was attended by delegates elected by primary organizations and invited guests: ESFTUG’s President Maia Kobakhidze; Vice President Natia Kordzadze; Deputy Head of Lanchkhuti Educational Resource Center Tsira Mskhiladze, Director of Lanchkhuti Municipality Educational Center Nata Kobalava; Head of the Lanchkhuti Municipality Council Nino Dzidziguri; principals of public schools and kindergartens’ managers. Lela Kuridze, the head of ESFTUG’s Lanchkhuti branch organization, emphasized that the ESFTUG’s decision was to conduct a constructive dialogue with the authorities in order to protect the interests of the members. As a result, the Ministry of Education and Science signed a major document of cooperation – sectoral agreement; Under the initiative and requirements of the ESFTUG, the Ministry of Education and Science decided to amend the legislative and sub-legislative normative acts that improved the labor and legal conditions of the teachers; The successive activities and strategies of ESFTUG’s president provide motivation to the ESFTUG’s structural units and enable them to effectively implement measures at the local level to ensure the professional, social and economic rights of the members. "The strength of the organization is in the multiplicity, unity and solidarity of the members. As we become more and more united, our organization will become stronger and we will get better results in the protection of the employee ..." the delegates were called by Lela Kuridze. The head of ESFTUG’s Lanchkhuti branch organization described in detail the events and their importance for the members from 2014 till 2018. She noted that facilitating professional development of teachers is one of the main directions of Lanchkhuti branch organization. More than 80% of Lanchkhuti branch organization’s members attended seminars of highly qualified trainer-consultants of ESFTUG. The head of ESFTUG’s Lanchkhuti branch organization expressed gratitude to Lanchkhuti N1, N2, N3 public schools principals for supporting teachers' qualification enhancements’ trainings. "In order to share professional practice and experience with colleagues, in Lanchkhuti municipality the “Subjects’ and Classmates’ Associations" were founded, which made teachers to become closer to each other s and it is planned to intensify cooperation with the colleagues across the country" - the rapporteur said. The head of Lanchkhuti branch organization spoke about the unfair situation of technical personnel and named the improvement of the social-economic situation of technical personnel as well as increasing the basic salaries of the teachers as one of the most important tasks. Lanchkhuti branch organization’s leader expressed gratitude for the effective social dialogue to the local government, regional educational resource center and the heads of educational institutions. "In our municipality there has been no illegal dismissal of employees. Administration is cooperating with the Trade Union for solution of the problems of pre-school institutions and it is planned to increase salaries for kindergartens’ employees" - said Lela Kuridze and thanked the mayor of the municipality Aleksandre Sarishvili, the chairman of the City Council beso Tabidze and the Head of City Council Office Nino Dzidziguri. Lela Kuridze spoke about cultural events carried out during the reporting period: "We met war veterans who were awarded with valuable gifts. Established meetings with pensioners. During the celebration days, we made a visit and gave them memorable souvenirs. We are regularly conducting the school teachers' competition: What? Where? When? ", Whose winners are awarded with gifts.With the support of the trade union, at Chibati public school was organized the event "Ethno Daughter-in-laws, which was organized by the winner of 2017 National Award, Civic Education Teacher of Chibati Public School Lado Apkhazava." Head of Lanchuti branch organization noted with great pride that the winner of the 2017 National Teacher Award is from Lanchkhuti. ESFTUG organized Lanchkhuti teachers' meeting with Lado Abkhazava. The SFTUG’s president Maia Kobakhidze, vice-presidents Mari Alugishvili and Natia Kordzadze, head of the education and quality management department of ESFTUG Temur Kiknadze and head of resource center Nino Chitadze attended the evening. AfterLela Kuridze's report, delegates of the conference were welcomed by the honorable guests.They expressed great respect for teachers, employed in educational institutions and ESFTUG’s activities. The audience was interested in the presentation of ESFTUG’s president, which reflects the activities of ESFTUG implemented in 2014-2018, achievements, results, priorities and future plans. Maia Kobakhidze explained all the nuances of the results obtained by the initiative of the ESFTUG. She emphasized the organization's human and intellectual resources, which is used to prepare the project of each initiative, subordinate act, and legal protection of members. The delegates especially appreciated ESFTUG’s scheme according to the basic salary of employees of Educational Sector. The delegates of the conference were given the opportunity to receive comprehensive answers from the ESFTUG’s president, on the current issues in the system: improvement of professional growth obligations and bureaucratic systems, perspectives for granting teachers status for kindergartens, teaching sciences and other topical topics. In assessing the activities of the ESFTUG, the participants noted that some teachers should change the nihilistic attitude towards the trade union activities, and each member should analyze the results of ESFTUG’s work and promote trade union activities in order to increase the number of trade union members. Delegates noted that conferences and intensive meetings with teachers provides information and awareness of members. The trade union is not limited with only creative activities and for strengthening trade union activities, it is necessary to make mental changes of the employees. The conference delegates expressed their satisfaction over the activities of ESFTUG at both local and international levels and positively assessed the four-year work of the Lankhuti branch organization. The delegates of the Lanchkhuti branch organization’s conference got acquainted with the four-year strategic plan of the candidate and unanimously elected Lela Kuridze as the head of ESFTUG’s Lanchkhuti branch organization. With the open ballot, the Lanchkhuti regional organization’s council was approved and 5 delegates were elected for the ESFTUG’s IX reporting - election congress. ESFTUG’s president Maia Kobakhidze and head of Lanchkhuti branch organization Lela Kuridze awarded honored union members, for their outstanding contribution in union’s activities" and also they awarded educational sector employers and the social partners for their ”democratic values and effective social partnership.”
