On April 23, the ESFTUG’s Gldani branch organization’s reporting-election conference was held. 52 delegates attended the conference and unanimously elected Viqtoria Balavadze as the head of ESFTUG’s Gldani branch organization.

ESFTUG’s president, Maia Kobakhidze, the head of ESFTUG’s education and quality management department Teimuraz Kiknadze, the head of Gldani District, Beka Mikautadze, the deputy chairman, Nana Tsimakuridze, the representative of the Gldani district majoritarian MP’s bureau Gvantsa Gambashidze, the principals of Gldani district public schools and kindergartens, other invited guests attended the conference.

The head of the conference was Nino Tsaburashvili, teacher from public school #174.

The conference participants were welcomed by the ESFTUG’s president, Maia Kobakhidze. She thanked the Municipality and principals for cooperation, support and for democratic approaches to the teachers and trade union. She also thanked the guests for coming.

ESFTUG’s president spoke about trade union’s goals and objectives, achievements and new challenges. About the achievements in terms of improving teachers' social-economic situation, their labor and legal rights, their professional development and their prestige. Maia Kobakhidze also spoke about the organization's priorities which remain as the main challenge of ESFTUG.

Special emphasis was made on the preschool institutions’ problems and the reform, which begins. Maia Kobakhidze answered the conference participants’ questions.

Participants were welcomed by the Gldani district Governor, Beka Mikautadze. He thanked the ESFTUG’s President for interesting speech and important topics of consideration. Also thanked the head of Gldani branch organization Viktoria Balavadze for her active work and wished her future success.

The head of the ESFTUG’s Gldani district branch organization Viktoria Balavadze awarded the members of the organization and the district kindergartens’ principals with the certificates and special presents.
