The fate of those practicing teachers who went through all the mandatory status-raising activities but failed to accumulate the required 19 credits has been unclear until now. However, as the president of the teachers' unions, Maia Kobakhidze, told Etaloni.ge, the transitional provision for these teachers has already been amended and they will be given a second chance.

It should be borne in mind that these teachers will not have to re-take exams, which, according to Kobakhidze, would be a violation of their rights; instead, for those who are short of half, 1 or 2 credits, the teacher's house will announce a 4-credit training program and after successful completion, teachers will be given the status of a senior.
