ESFTUG addresses public school directors to stop signing short-term agreements with teachers. ESFTUG published a letter regarding this issue.
For the last two or three weeks, new short-term labour agreements were signed with public school teachers – is said in a statement.
“We remind you that after verbal order of the ex-Minister of Education and Science, directors unlawfully terminated labour agreements and signed 3, 6 or 12-month agreements, which were later used to justify dismissal of numerous teachers, which actually resulted from employees' political views or some other illegitimate reasons.”
According to Ms Kobakhidze, one-year agreements disaccord with the requirements of the order #959, regarding Obligatory Labour Terms.
“We call for teachers to use their rights and refuse signing labour agreements which put them in tough labour conditions”. Ms Kobakhidze also informs teachers that they can call to ESFTUG hot line in case of any legal issues - (032)2 37 41 59 / (032) 2 37 30 67.
