Ms Manana NGO Kvareli Preschool Specialist was dismissed from her position on December 10, 2018, citing various disorders (including absenteeism) that actually did not occur.

Manana Eloshvili initially applied to the Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union, when she had not yet been dismissed, and informed us that she suffered cruel persecution and harassment, which were expressed in the fact that the union director (who is currently suspended from office), began deliberately putting penalties on Manana Eloshvili for unrealistic reasons, moved her to a stuffy and damp room, where she had no working conditions, she was constantly verbally insulted and, etc. Eventually, she was no longer allowed to enter the building and her forced absence led to her dismissal. From the very beginning, the Legal Department of the ESFTUG provided qualified legal advice to Manana Eloshvili and, upon her formal release, prepared a lawsuit.

The trial was held on July 26, 2019, in which the plaintiff's interests were represented by Grigol Bakuradze, Head of the Legal Department of the ESFTUG. At the said hearing the respondent did not appear, on the basis of which Grigol Bakuradze requested to make a decision in his absence and, since the circumstances in the suit legally justified the claim, the judge upheld Manana Eloshvili's desire to be reinstated.

The ESFTUG thanks Judge Nana Chalatashvili for a fair decision!

Currently, the ESFTUG continues to protect and represent the interests of other teachers in the Common Courts of Georgia and look forward to their successful completion.
