As a new school year begins, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia starts a new campaign against the trade union. Giving teachers a choice between the two – job or the union – states Ms Kobakhidze. ESFTUG president addresses teachers, to stand up for protecting their labour and legal rights, abstain from leaving job in case of director’s order and speak up about the oppression publicly.
Despite harsh conditions and ongoing oppressions, ESFTUG continues to function as an independent organization that protects teachers’ rights and interests – added Ms Kobakhidze.
