As a president of Educators and Scienists Free Trade Union of Georgia, I once again confirm support to reforms in education system and express my readiness to be engaged in these processes within my competence.
I would like inform you that my position on resolving the problems between the Ministry and the Union through constructive social dialogue has not changed.
I want to also express my gratitude towards your statement of 30 November, 2010, where you addressed public school directors to abide by the legal requirements concerning the trade unions and due payment practice.
After this statement, membership and due payment documentations were prepared once again but as long as we are concerned, directors follow the directives from Resource Centers and still hold back from paying ESFTUG membership fees.
I would be grateful if you would also consider exploring possible reasons for directors’ disobedience to your order and facts of noncompliance with the law.
I hope that in the nearest future we will know the truth, which will boost cooperation and strengthen the relations between the Ministry and ESFTUG.
