A(A)IPE “Center for Professional Development of Employees in Educational Institutions” is an organization founded by the “Free Trade Union of Teachers and Scientists of Georgia”. The purpose of the creation of the “Center” was to promote the learning and teaching process in order to improve the quality of education in Georgia. In particular,

– Creation of training modules and long-term educational programs for the professional growth and development of teachers employed in general education institutions and retraining of teachers. In order to promote the career advancement of teachers, creation of training programs for preparing for exams to confirm competence and training of teachers.

– Taking care of the professional development of employees in early and preschool education and educational institutions, conducting educational processes with training modules created at the Center.

At the current stage, the Center is implementing educational and professional development programs on the following topics:

For general education institutions:

• Use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational process

• Training in working in the “Teams” program (Georgian, in Azerbaijani and Armenian)
• Creating a blog and presenting a portfolio on it
• Formative, formative and summative assessment of students
• For teachers of grades V- IX:
• Teaching with projects – natural sciences, biology
• Teaching with projects – mathematics
• Library management for school librarians
• Drawing up an individual work plan and other supporting resources for special education teachers
• Methodology for creating a formative assessment tool (test tasks) in mathematics

• Introducing STEM approaches at the primary level
• Primary mathematics course for Azerbaijani-language schools.

From 2015 to 2025, tens of thousands of teachers, school principals and other staff of general education institutions have been retrained.
In 2017 and 2018, the Center implemented two teacher professional development projects, within the framework of which participating beneficiaries were awarded credit points for their work and professional achievements, which helped them in their career advancement processes.
The Center is involved in research processes of teachers’ needs to support the ongoing reforms in the education system and gradually, based on the needs, creates new training modules.
The organization pays great attention to the professional development of employees in the education system in order to ensure the improvement of the quality of education by using modern technologies in the educational process.
Currently, the Center has started trainings with a new training program: Using Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process. There is great interest among teachers, which is clearly visible from their feedback.
Currently, the Center is working with 35 training modules for employees in general education institutions and 15 training modules for employees in early and preschool education and educational institutions.
The Center is actively involved in the successful implementation of the ongoing reform in early and preschool education and educational institutions. In terms of professional development of employees in institutions, a variety of training programs have been prepared, which assist both municipal kindergarten associations and individual preschool institutions in the kindergarten authorization process.
