A member of ESFTUG can be a person working in educational, training and scientific institutions or temporarily unemployed, as well as a student who recognizes the ESFTUG statute, its goals and objectives and pays a membership fee. A retired unemployed member of the SPMTP, if he wishes, retains his membership.
Joining or leaving the ESFTUG ranks is voluntary and is carried out on the basis of a written application, which the employee addresses to the chairman of the primary organization of the SPMTP. The decision on membership is made by the meeting (committee) of the primary organization. Leaving the organization is carried out on the basis of a written application, which the member addresses to the chairman of the primary organization. Based on the minutes of the meeting (committee) of the primary organization, the regional/city council of the relevant district/city organization confirms the issue of admission to or withdrawal from membership in the ESFTUG.
After admission to the ESFTUG, he is given a certificate confirming his membership in the ESFTUG of a unified sample and a registration card is filled out in his name.
The membership fee is determined in the amount of 1% of the salary (stipend) of the ESFTUG member. The membership fee is paid monthly, by non-cash payment. A temporarily unemployed member pays 20 tetri as a membership fee every month.
An ESFTUG member has the right:
a) to demand protection of his labor, socio-economic, professional rights and interests from the ESFTUG;
b) participate in the work of trade union bodies, elect and be elected to the management and control bodies of the Trade Union Conference and Congress;
c) submit proposals to any management body of the Trade Union Conference, participate in the development, discussion and adoption of decisions in accordance with the established procedure, receive information about the activities of the ESFTUG;
d) receive free consultations and legal assistance on issues directly related to labor activity;
e) use the services of the health and cultural-educational institutions of the Trade Union on preferential terms. Receive moral and material encouragement from the funds of the Trade Union for active trade union activity, as well as material assistance in accordance with the established procedure, in special cases.
f) freely express their opinion, defend it at meetings, conferences and congresses;
g) receive information about the organization’s activities and plans;
h) personally participate in the meetings and sessions of trade union organizations and bodies at which issues related to his/her activities are discussed;
A member of ESFTUG is obliged to:
a) fulfill and comply with the requirements stipulated by the ESFTUG Charter, participate in the activities of ESFTUG;
b) pay the membership fee on time and in the established amount;
c) not violate the terms of collective, labor contracts, agreements, principles of professional morality and ethics;
d) take care of the dignity and authority of ESFTUG;
e) carry out the decisions of the governing bodies of ESFTUG;
f) take care of attracting members to ESFTUG.
