ყრილობა Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia’s branch organizations are traditionally celebrating international day of teachers throughout the country. October 5, was celebrated in the Trade Union’s Culture House in Tbilisi, which was attended by about 1000 teachers.

The organizers of the evening dedicated to the teachers were: leader of ESFTUG’s Samgori branch organization Guliko Amilidze, art director of the theater “Aghmaprena” Manana Todadze, director of the theater Roin Chituashvili and director Kiazo Jobava. The event dedicated to the teacher's day was opened by President of ESFTUG Maia Kobakhidze. She thanked the teachers for their selfless work in the upbringing of the next generation: "The main aim of the International Day of Teacher is to promote the profession of the teacher, expressing gratitude towards the employers of one of the most respected professions. Dear teachers, the time has come in our country, that the international day of teacher becomes the universal event and everyone should realize that in the upbringing new generation, the teacher has the most important role... ". Singer and art director of the theater “Aghmaprena” Manana Todadze congratulated teachers their professional day with the popular and favorite songs loved by everyone. The symbolic and pleasant surprise for everyone was a song performed by Manana Todadze, wich was created on the poem of Roman Zukakishvili, leader of ESFTUG’s Sagarejo branch organization. Member of the Writers' Union, Giorgi Leonidze's prize winner Roman Zukakishvili congratulated his colleagues from the hall the particularly valuable day and called the teacher a priest of the future generation. Roman Zukakishvili gave spontaneously written acrostic to Manana Todadze. At the festive evening, after the singer, the scene was taken by the young theatrical troupe and the team composed of various generations and talented actors presented Tate Buachidze's play "A Dog in the Yard".
