  A five-member delegation of ESFTUG’s Young Leaders by the invitation of European Region of Education International (EI) - "Trade Union Education Committee of the European Union" (ETUCE), "Belarus Education and Science Workers Union" (BTUWES) participated in "Young Trade Union Members’ International Education Forum - TEMP 2018" in Minsk.

The ESFTUG’s five-member delegation was headed by head of ESFTUG’s Legal Department Ucha Bakuradze. Among the members of the ESFTUG’s delegation were the newly elected head of the ESFTUG’s central office primary organization Megi Sakandelidze, head of ESFTUG’s Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi branch organization Keso Osishvili, and two active members of the ESFTUG’s Adjara Autonomous Vakhushti Menabde

organization: English language teacher of Khelvachauri Municipality village Perii public school Nino Varshanidze and Batumi #7 public school’s English and Biology teacher Irina Tsintsadze.

Members of the ESFTUG’s delegation prepared presentations on the activities and priorities of the ESFTUG and discussed the role and importance of young profiles in relation to the popularization of the trade union and activation of the employees of educational system. The youngsters of ESFTUG introduced the Georgian culture, history and traditions to the representatives of different countries. Discussions were held among participants, they listened to the trade unions of different countries, specifics of their work, current problems, challenges and examples of success.

Within the framework of the one-week program, Georgian representatives attended educational training on mediation, leadership development, presentation and oratory art.

In the framework of the program, Young union members visited Belarus: metallurgical, tire and dairy products’ factories, where many people are employed and the work process is in full load. Foreign youth delegations were given an opportunity to get acquainted with the problems and challenges existing in these factories.

Despite the busy work and education regime, the Belarussian side allowed the forum participants to learn the country's culture, folklore and traditions. Young people visited the capital of Belarus Minsk and other towns, visited sightseeing, including Minsk new library, attended the performance at the Minsk Opera Theater, in the Palace of Independence viewed the artists' exhibits.

The goal of the ESFTUG is to support the development of young staff, plan and implement youth programs.

For the establishment of the modern trade union, the Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia has focused on the massive engagement of young people in trade union activities and decision making processes. For this purpose, one of the activities of ESFTUG is to establish abd develop a young Leadership School. The main objective of the preparation of young leaders is to share the experiences of the partner organizations of the International Organizations - "International Education" and "European Trade Unions Education Committee".
