On November 18-19 at the ESFTUG Tskneti training base, with the initiative of the ESFTUG President, Maia Kobakhidze, with the finncial support of the USA Solidarity Center and with the arrangement of the ESFTUG Akhmeta Regional organisation’s head Naira Kaadze, a special program was held for the public school teachers from Akhmeta municipality cross-border villages: Birkiani, Duisi, Omalo, Jokolo, Kasristskali.

At the first part of the program the trainer of the “Center for Professional Development of Employees in Educational Institutions” , Tamar Chelidze, conducted the training – “Professional skills”- in order to support teachers’ professional development and career advancement.

The second part of the program was dedicated to the introducing of the ESFTUG activities, goals and objectives , as well as teachers' labour, social-economic, professional and legal issues.

ESFTUG President, Maia Kobakhidze talked about the major activities, achievements and results of the organisation. Teachers were given the opportunity to get the answers on the interesting issues.

After the busy working day the surprise was waiting for the teachers - a visit in Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli State Drama Theatre.

The head of the ESFTUG Akhmeta regional organisaion on behalf of the organization, thanked ESFTUG President, Maia Kobakhidze for this useful and interesting program. The event also was attended by the eldest delegate of ESFTUG, Lisa Basilashvili, who for many years was standing for Akhmeta ragional organization and for teachers.
