On November 19, the President of Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia, Maia Kobakhidze attended the summary conference of the organization - "Women for Justice".

Maia Kobakhidze, welcomed the conference participants and emphasized the necessity of existence such organizations in our country. She talked about how important is the protection of women's rights and justice: "women are 84% in educational field and protection and lobbying of their interests and rights, is one of priority direction of the educators and scientists free trade union ", - said Maia Kobakhidze.

Maia Kobakhidze talked about the issue of public school teachers , mostly women, who were paid temporary disability allowance in accordance with their remuneration and not with complete salary. Aftre the negotiations between the ESFTUG and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs, the issue was being regulated.

The president of ESFTUG also publicly spoke about the problem, which is very relevant and important for employed women of the educational institutions and is still unsolved. This is a maternity leave remuneration rule, which is different for public servants and employed women of the educational institutions.

Educators and Scientists Free Trade Union of Georgia actively works in regard to solve this problem.

The conference was attended by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Regional Coordinator in the South Caucasus, Felix Het, the foundation Project Coordinator, Irina Seperteladze.

The members of the Parliament, Gia Jorjoliani, Irakli Tripolski, Dimitri Tskitishvili and women from all regions of Georgia were invited at the conference.

Conference participants spoke about women's participation and role in politics. The women expressed their opinions and discussed future plans.
